Operational conditions (quality-preserving use)

The following conditions are defined to preserve structural strength, functionality, and service life of stands and target holders. These points are not to be considered a safety guarantee for the user or surroundings.

• Stands and target holders must be correctly assembled in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• All bolts, locking points, and fasteners must be properly tightened before use.
• The products must not be subjected to side loads, impacts, or mechanical stress beyond normal use.
• The products must not be used if there are structural failures or clear signs of reduced load-bearing capacity or functionality.
• ROM Targets currently provides no performance or service life guarantees beyond warranty against manufacturing defects. All use is at the user’s own risk.

Over time, ROM Targets will conduct extended testing on load conditions, material fatigue, and service life for stands and target holders. Any recommendations and warranty terms will be updated based on documented test results.

Important safety rules

• Stands and target holders must only be used for their intended purpose.
• The products must always be positioned and secured to prevent tipping or shifting during use.
• Avoid configurations that create unfavorable angles of metal surfaces toward the shooter, bystanders, or equipment.
• Stands and target holders must be inspected before each use. Discontinue use immediately if structural failures or clear reductions in load-bearing capacity or functionality are detected.
• Cracks, surface dents, and normal deformation that do not affect function or load-bearing capacity are typical for the product’s intended use and are not, in themselves, grounds for disposal.
• Damaged components that affect safety or functionality must be replaced before further use.
• Do not perform unauthorized modifications to the product.
• Improper use may result in increased risk of personal injury, damage to property, and voiding of any warranties.

Stands and target holders are delivered with a surface treatment for high visibility and reduced risk of corrosion during outdoor use. The surface treatment helps protect the steel against moisture, dirt, and surface rust, but will naturally wear over time with use.

After use, it is recommended to:

• Remove loose metal residues, dirt, and soil from the surface. This can be done using a stiff brush, cloth, or compressed air.
• Inspect the surface for visible damage, cracks, or deformation before further use.
• If needed, minor paint damage can be repaired to reduce the risk of surface rust.

A paint repair kit is under development and will be made available for easy maintenance and extended service life.

During storage, stands and target holders should:

• Be stored in a dry and well-ventilated area when not in use.
• Avoid prolonged contact with moisture, soil, or standing water.
• If possible, be stored indoors or under cover to reduce condensation and corrosion.

The products are made from steel with high wear resistance and good resistance to deformation, but they are still carbon steel and may develop surface rust if stored in damp conditions over time. Surface rust will normally not affect function or strength, but regular cleaning and basic surface protection will help preserve both appearance and service life.
